International Trade Show for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management connects hundreds of exhibitors, who demonstratethe latest solutions in logistics innovation.

Overview and Brief History:

LogiMAT is one of the largest intralogistics exhibitions held in Europe, specifically Stuttgart, Germany. It provides full access to providers of the entire logistics chain from procurement to final delivery, with a focus on cuting costs, improving processes, and optimizing efficiency.

Held annually, LogiMAT began 18 years ago, where a total of 160 exhibitors brought forth their innovations and solutions. 40% of the initial exhibitors came from from IT, software, and identification processes, which is indicative of the innovation genesis of the show.

Since then, the exhibition has been an annual draw for advanced solutions, changing trends, and technical viewpoints as the industry have undergone radical changes in the wake of e-commerce. As Managing Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics, Dr. Michael Ten Hompel notes: LogiMAT has become a platform for change in the intralogistics industry.

Main Themes:

With a focus on decentralized distribution, handling of materials, and information flow, LogiMat also plays a role in establishing the latest standards in European intralogistics.

Specifically, the show floor is divided into 21 different logistical themes: Material Handling, Labelling and ID, Warehouse, Simulation Software, Storage Software, Shipping Software, Production Controls/Robots, Packaging and Measuring, Drive Technology, Stock Management, Waste Disposal, Loading Technology, Security, Outsourcing, Retrofitting, Logistics Facilities, Industrial accessories, Consulting, Communications Technology, Order-Picking Systems, and Public Organizations.

Current Exhibitor Attendance Profile:

Approximately 1600 exhibitors participate in LogiMAT, with approximately 60% coming from Germany. Austria, Netherlands, and Italian exhibitors make up the next largest block, with approximately 15%. Although the show is very heavily attended by European organizations, there is a sizable component of Exhibitors from the USA and Asia as well.

Things to look forward to at the show:

Approximately 60,000 industry professionals are expected to attend LogiMAT, which will provide fertile networking grounds to catch up on industry developments, preview new innovations to come, and develop new partnerships and client prospects.

Many of the new LogiMAT formats will be on display, including LogiMAT.TV, the Arena Programm, and LogiMAT.digital. Although several of the digital formats were created as an ersatz during the pandemic years, they still prove to be good sources of content and planning tools to maximize attendance value.
