First hosted in 1990, Smart Production Solutions exhibition is the main event for control technology and electronic drive manufacturers.
Core Themes:
The SPS trade fair is very unique and distinct in its offerings, encompassing the whole range of dynamic and digital automation. Among the leading topics of the trade fair include drive systems and their components, interface devices, sensor and control technology, IT solutions, and IPCs and more.
Attendees & Exhibitors:
With 16 separate halls to explore, and approximately 51,000 trade visitors expected to attend, visitors will have a vast amount of stands to entertain them during their visit. More than 1,100 exhibitors will take part at SPS, with major exhibitors including Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric and Beckhoff Automation featuring with large stands which are a definite must see. In terms of demographics, as expected, there are a high percentage of attendees from Germany and neighboring countries, but the show has a very international feel with attendees coming from every corner of the world including the U.S, Middle East and China.
Technology & Innovation:
The key technologies on show at this year’s event may not seem that different to previous editions, but the industry has many innovations to share including developments in developments in Motion Control, sensor technology and supporting software with a focus on automation with Industry 4.0. There is an automation hackathon taking place at this years again, as has been the case the past few years. Again, demonstrating the importance of software to the industry.
At SPS, where many exhibitors present highly technical systems, it’s often the way a product is displayed that makes the biggest difference. Based on our experience, tailored displays built around specific use cases help visitors quickly grasp complex solutions. And when designed for future reuse, they also make the stand investment more cost-efficient across multiple shows.
Summary:
SPS is always a spectacular event, with major exhibitors returning in numbers and with fantastic new technologies to share with attendees, making space in the calendar for a trip to Bavaria this autumn should be a priority. Of course, the Beire team will be present also, so if you want to speak with a member of our team about stands for your upcoming shows, drop us a message at the contact details below. See you in Nuremberg!
